Unit 0: Welcome to 8th Grade Computer Science
Take a look through these slides to find out more about the course, it’s requirements and grading policy.

This course doesn’t require a lot of writing, but when it does, I will be following the following rubric. Please take some time and read it over carefully. Some key things that I will be looking for include
- Correct spelling
- Full sentences
- Correct use of punctuation
- Use specific, proper terminology
- No texting abbreviations
Assignment #01: Survey
Using a word processor, create a document that does the following:
- Take a picture of yourself.
- Put it at the top of your word processing document
- Add your name below your picture.
Then answer the following questions.
- What are your career goals?
- What do you see yourself doing 15 years from now?
- What are you most proud of?
- What do you enjoy doing in your free time?
- What extracurricular activities and/or jobs are you involved in?
- What are your hobbies?
- What are your favorite things about school?
- What are your least favorite things about school?
- What do you hope to learn in this class?
- What kind of books do you enjoy reading? Do you have any favorite authors?
- What is your favorite movie? Why?
- What type of music do you enjoy and who is your favorite artist?
- If you could have lunch with a famous person, living or dead, who would it be and why?
- Finish the following sentence: I learn the most when the teacher …
- Finish the following sentence: I learn the most when I …
- What are you most passionate about?
- Do you have any questions or comments for me?
